After spending nearly two years in the Philippines improving the model of Divine Business Appointments (DBA), we were invited to Nigeria in 2017 to train a group of committed Christ followers in our methodology. Sponsored by Christ Missionary Outreach (CMO) and its’ leader, Dr. Bitrus Adu, we trained professionals in our GYB and SYB programs.
This group of 27 individuals was composed of a diverse group of business owners and leaders, missionaries, pastors, and national leaders campaigning for public office. They had two things in common: first, a well-grounded relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for helping the poor spiritually and economically.
From the train the trainer program Samson Bugama was chosen to lead the Nigerian DBA program. In the last several years he has embarked on an ambitious program to train hundreds of Nigerians in how to start and grow their own businesses.
As a successful business owner himself, Samson is the CEO of Agrikeys Services Limited. He uses the platform of his national business to promote the training programs of DBA Nigeria all over the country.
In 2019 DBA Nigeria hosted a multi-day business training workshop for 75 widows. These widows were survivors of a local domestic terrorist group that had killed their husbands in the previous two years. In addition to dealing with the grief and trauma associated with the attacks, the women needed to explore various ways to earn incomes in a single parent household.
DBA is committed to helping people spiritually and economically based on Biblical principles. Our hearts break for these women. We trust that God has encouraged and blessed them through our ministry.

All DBA training sessions are lively and full of enthusiasm. One such event was sponsored by the God-Life Assembly Church under the leadership of Senior Pastor Chingtok Ishaku. We initially planned for an event of 25 people, but 140 wanted to sign up! We had to limit the class size but we still conducted this conference called, “Hand-Up Business Conference” for over 70 attendees.
One of the students in class explains the results of an exercise in the Generate Your Business (GYB) class in developing a viable business opportunity. In this exercise students come up with a business category that they are interested in and explore different business ideas in each of 4 areas.
This student has selected “dairy” as her field of interest. From this one category, she has explored business ideas in products, services, selling channels and spinoff dairy items.
